About Us
My name is Carol Griffin and I am relatively
new to the art of machine sewing/quilting
as of January 2007.
I have worked in the medical profession
for 35 years and I am currently employed
full-time as a Registered Cardiology
Technologist at our Regional Hospital.
I am married to my wonderful husband
Richard who supports all my crazy

notions (like buying a sewing machine and all its accessories) and we have four
grown children. We live on a hobby farm in the beautiful Annapolis Valley in Nova
Scotia.
My interests have always been handcrafts, so getting involved in sewing and
quilting with The Bernina Lady gave me a new direction to take them.
I first met Jeanne in October 2006 when I walked into That Cotton Pickin' Quilt Shop
looking to find an old-fashioned quilt rack. It didn't take long until I ended up
receiving a demonstration on the Bernina 440 Quilter’s Edition and I was sold right
away (however I had to do my homework to convince my husband I was getting the
best buy for the product).
Before finding Bernina, I was really surprised at the variety of machines and the
reception I received at some places; from not being shown the top-of-the-line
product because the sales person didn’t think I could afford it, to having to
purchase three machines in order to do all I wanted to do.
Finding the Bernina Lady changed all of that, and I now know I have the best
product for my money. My Bernina actually does what I want it to, and I often think
my machine knows what I want before I do. In the event I get stumped by
something, the phone rings and it’s Jeanne there to offer assistance and support.
I am pleased to be helping Jeanne as her sidekick and I'm happy to stand behind
the Bernina name.
